The Acting Deputy Commissioner acknowledged instructors from CSP; Muliagatele Enoka Feterika and Mohamad Chrara.

Papalii acknowledged the Samoa-Australian Police Partnership for their continued support and commitment in strengthening Samoa’s base of expertise in Cybercrime.

Papalii also acknowledged the support of CSP to conduct this important training in Samoa.

“Cybercrime is no longer confined to financial fraud or hacking – it extends to threats against individuals, community and even national security,” said the Assistant Commissioner.

Papalii encouraged participants – that the skills they will gain over the course of this program will not only strengthen their investigative capacity; “but also enhance our nation’s resilience against cyber threats.”

The Cybercrime Investigation Foundation (CIF) program is a delivery of contextualised, modularised, and tiered cybercrime investigations training which supports Pacific police to develop the knowledge and skills required to successfully respond to and investigate cybercrime and technology enabled crime. This program equips participants with the methods and techniques to conduct more effective online investigations.
